Lighting and Rain Forces Cancellation of Big 30th Season Opener

N. Woodstock, NH — With over 60 cars in the pit area ready to open White Mountain Motorsports Park for the 30th time, Mother Nature had different plans. An hour away from the 6:00pm Post Time, dark clouds closed in on all fronts before streaks of lightning flashed atop the mountains and the sound of thunder flooded our little valley below. Monsoon rains soon followed and even after a short window allowed us to dry the track, a larger cell of rain and lightning moved back in forcing management to cancel the night’s program.

Saturday’s cancellation means that Round #1 of the J.P. Sicard Triple Crown and a visit from the NELCAR Legends and Bandoleros will serve as the 30th Season Opener at White Mountain Motorsports Park. The annual Car Show Best Appearing awards will be announced at the start of Saturday’s program.
