White Mountain Returns with Wayne’s Market Saturday Special
/N. Woodstock, NH — After one of the most exciting and successful events in White Mountain Motorsports Park history last Saturday night, Thunder in the Mountains returns on August 6th with the Wayne’s Market Dwarf Car Special! Along with the annual celebration of the open wheel rockets, the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models return along with the Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis and Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division!
The annual Wayne’s Market Dwarf Car Special holds some mystique heading into Saturday night. Depending on entries, the race format could be a straight, 50-lap main event or two 25-lap segments with a whole field invert to set segment two! Jason Wyman has once again been the dominant force in Wayne’s Dwarf Car competition at White Mountain and remains the one to beat against the likes of former champion Andy Hill, Jeff Ainsworth and Dave Gyger.
After nine White Mountain regulars attempted to make the American-Canadian Tour starting grid for the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250, Jesse Switser reigned supreme with his runner-up finish. Not only the highest ACT Tour finish for Switser, he was also the highest finishing Foley Oil & Propane Late Model driver in ACT competition this year! On Wayne’s Market Saturday, Switser looks to go farther in his pursuit of the King of the Mountain crown but has some stiff competition in the way.
Currently holding a 47-point lead over Alby Ovitt, Quinny Welch looks to be on his way to an incredible ninth White Mountain track championship. But, with six points-counting events still to come, it’s still anyone’s game. Switser, Ovitt, Stacy Cahoon and Kasey Beattie have all been itching for their first win of the season, with strong runs week in and week out. Wayne’s Market Saturday may just pave the way for a first-time winner in 2022.
Coming off his sixth win during the Milton CAT 250, Shane Sicard continues to be the man to beat in Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tiger action. Sicard currently holds a 23-point lead over rookie Kaiden Fisher as Fisher leads the rookie standings at both White Mountain and Vermont’s Thunder Road. Chris Moulton, the sophomore driver all the way from Pepperell, Massachusetts continues to lead the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis leaderboard by 12-points over Littleton’s Tyler Thompson. The Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division will also return after Kyle Goodbout took his second of the year over fellow veterans McKenna Merchant and Logan Farnsworth.
