While PASS Sunday Invasion Still On Tap, Rain Forces Cancellation of Saturday Night at White Mountain
/N. Woodstock, NH — While the Father’s Day Sunday Special headlined by the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models is still set for Sunday, June 18th, the weather forecast for Saturday, June 17th has pushed White Mountain Motorsports Park officials to cancel the Saturday night events. Forecasted to continuously rain on Saturday with New England Antique Racers and NELCAR Legends and Bandoleros coming from across New England, officials opted to cancel the program to save teams travel expense. The PASS Super Late Models and PASS Modifieds will still invade White Mountain for a special afternoon showdown this Sunday along with the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models and a $1,000 to win Open Street Stock 75-lapper!
The unfavorable forecast is calling for over 90% chance of rain throughout the day on Saturday into late Saturday night before lifting on Sunday morning. “With the NELCAR and NEAR teams coming from Maine and Massachusetts, we wanted to spare them a wasted trip with the certainty of rain hitting us tomorrow,” said WMMP managing partner Cris Michaud. “It’s always a tough decision but we feel it’s the best for these traveling teams in these conditions. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.”
Sunday, June 21st brings the Father’s Day Sunday Special headlined by the Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model 150. With a 2:00pm Post Time, the Father’s Day special will also include a $1,000-to-win PASS Modified showdown as part of the Weston’s Automotive Challenge plus the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models and a $1,000-to-win Open Street Stock 75-lapper. Adult General Admission will be on sale for $25, children 12-6 at $10 and kids 5 and under free with a Family Four Pack available for $60.
