Strictly Mini Fever with Annual Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Special
/N. Woodstock, NH — It’s time to celebrate everyone’s favorite four-cylinder masters at White Mountain Motorsports Park this Saturday night for the annual Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini Stock Special. The 50-lap main event for the weekly four-cylinder class is expected to draw the biggest field of the season with several Thunder Road teams from Vermont making the trek to battle with the local White Mountain heroes to see who can come out on top.
After winning the first three events of the 2023 season, Kristian Switser leads defending champion Chris Moulton by ten points in the championship chase. Last year’s top rookie, Switser is looking to take it all the way in his sophomore season, but several invaders are looking to stop his win streak. After making the mountain-pass trip already this season, Kyler Davis, Nate Brien and Jeffrey Martin are expected to join the 50-lap special with hints of more looking to tackle the Mountain.
As with the Strictly Minis, Thetford, Vermont’s Brandon Gray has a strong lead in the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers after a streak of three wins to start off the season. Longtime twin-state standouts John Donahue and Joey Laquerre stalk the young hot-shoe from second and third in the standings, both looking to regain the top spot for yet another notch on a pair of legendary careers. Groton, Vermont’s Luke Peters currently utilizes his former Kid’s Truck experience to lead the rookie chase over Nate Hamblett and Jim Paquette.
After piecing his mount back together following a semi-feature wreck and still ending up in the top-10 on June 10th, young Kasey Beattie holds a commanding lead in the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models over multi-time champions Stacy Cahoon and Quinny Welch. The most hotly contested White Mountain division of the season so far, the Late Models have seen three different winners in three events grace victory lane with Cahoon, Welch, Matt Anderson and Mike Clark all looking to break into the winner’s circle.
The Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars and Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division both return after a week off. While the Dwarfs chase down defending champion Jason Wyman, the Kid’s have split the wins between first-timer Bentley Robbin and Logan ‘Rollover’ Farnsworth. Teams in both of White Mountain’s popular divisions are excited to return with nothing but checkered flags flying in their heads!
Thunder Returns to the Mountains on Saturday, June 24th with the annual Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini Special! The Strictly Minis go for a special 50-lap extra-distance showdown alongside the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars and the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division.
