NEAR and NELCAR Help Kick-Start Father’s Day Weekend Doubleheader at White Mountain
/N. Woodstock, NH — Following last week's Late Model Spectacular, White Mountain Motorsports Park gears up for a doubleheader Father’s Day weekend on Saturday, June 17th and Sunday, June 18th. Eleven divisions will be in action between the two days but it all begins on Saturday with the triple-touring action courtesy of the New England Antique Racers (NEAR) and the NELCAR Legends and Bandoleros. With both series being a staple of White Mountain, it was a certainty that they’d be on the 2023 schedule of events but it was certainly a surprise to have them together on the same day! Old, contemporary, and new will all be on track come Saturday, June 17th.
The contemporary comes with the four White Mountain divisions slated for Saturday’s filled-to-the-brim schedule. The Foley Oil & Propane Late Models are all chasing down St. Johnsbury’s Kasey Beattie who has a runaway point lead just three events into the 2023 season. Beattie is one of three different winners in the ultra-competitive class with former champions Stacy Cahoon and Quinny Welch also looking to gain traction on the youngster both in the standings and in victory lane.
It’s a pair of three-peats with the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers tracking Brandon Gray and the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis gunning down Kristian Switser. Both are looking to make it an incredible four-in-a-row on Saturday but tough veteran competition in both the wildly popular Tigers and hard-charging four-cylinder Minis are looking to knock these young stars off their pedestals.
After a week off the Dad’s 4 By Kids Division will also return with several stars of tomorrow looking to join Bentley Robbin and Logan Farnsworth in the wins column.
Speaking of the stars of tomorrow, the NELCAR Bandoleros and Legend Cars will feature some of the hottest young talent in Northeast racing. 15-year-old point leader Ty Leclerc leads the Legends onto the highbanks of White Mountain Motorsports Park along with standouts Jacob Burns, Devin Deshaies, and Richie Helger Jr. In order to paint the full picture, the cars from yesterday will also be in attendance with the New England Antique Racers. Flathead couples, full bodied Novas and overhead modifieds will all be in attendance to help give fans the full picture of where stock car racing has come from, where we are now and where the future lies in the near years to come!
White Mountain returns to action with an epic Father’s Day weekend doubleheader beginning on Saturday, June 17th with a visit from the New England Antique Racers (NEAR) and the NELCAR Tour. NELCAR will be bringing both of their popular divisions in the Legends and Bandoleros alongside the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis and Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division. Post Time is set for 6:00pm with General Admission available starting at $15 for adults, $5 for children 12-6 and kids 5 and under free! A Family Four Pack for two adults and two kids is available for $30.
Day two will feature the Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model 150 along with a special $1,000-to-win PASS Modified showdown as part of the Weston’s Automotive Challenge! The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models will be gunning in a special $750-to-win event with an added $1,000-to-win Open Street Stock 75-lapper. Post Time is set for 2:00pm on Sunday with Adult General Admission set at $25, children 12-6 at $10 and kids 5 and under free with a Family Four Pack available for $60.
