Debut of the Mini Late Models Join the 47th ACT Spring Green

N. Woodstock, NH — After the announcement of a new division to the White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) line-up last fall, anticipation has been running high for the all new Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models. Drivers from across Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine are ready to start their 5-race schedule at White Mountain alongside the prestigious 47th edition of the American-Canadian Tour Spring Green.

The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models utilize the same rules package as the North East Mini Stock Tour (NEMST) and other racetracks across New England. With the Tour cutting back their schedule in 2022, many of their regular competitors called the WMMP office in the off-season and the new Mini Late Model division was born.

Alongside the much-anticipated debut will be the Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers. Coming off an exciting feature last weekend that saw young Tanner Woodard stalk and finally overtake veteran Matt Potter, the Flying Tigers are ready for more with multi-time champion Shane Sicard leading defending champion Jason Woodard in points. The champs both bobbed and weaved through traffic to gain top-5 positions and look to do the same on Saturday.

With a first-time winner in Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini competition last time out, it’s a crap-shoot to see who will be standing in Caron Fabrication victory lane come Saturday. Chris Moulton might have won last weeks battle but Tyler Thompson is currently winning the war against the first time winner by a mere six-points. Equally as unpredictable, it’s not impossible to imagine a Baumgardner, Derrington or Sicard taking the Strictly Mini checkered flag on Saturday.

After a couple off-weeks, the Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars are ready to rocket back onto the high banks. Following Andy Hill’s victory on May 21st, former champions Jason Wyman and ‘Downtown’ Bobby Brown are among those ready to pounce to regain the crown.

Joining the four White Mountain divisions, the ACT Late Model Tour arrives to North Woodstock for the 47th running of the Spring Green 122. Derek Gluckacki from Dartmouth, Massachusetts is looking to continue his White Mountain success after taking the Wall’s Ford Spring Board 100 win last Saturday. Standing in his way is defending Spring Green champion Tom Carey III, multi-time WMMP champion Quinny Welch, 2021 Midsummer 250 winner Jason Corliss and former ACT Late Model champions Rich Dubeau and Jimmy Hebert.
