2022 White Mountain Motorsports Park Season: By the Numbers
/0.023 Seconds – The Margin of Victory St-Denis, Quebec’s Patrick Laperle had over D.J. Shaw to win the 45th ACT Fall Foliage 200 at White Mountain as WMMP regulars Bryan Wall, Jr. and Tanner Woodard remained in hot pursuit to take 3rd and 4th, respectively.
2 – In just his second season, Chris Moulton proved himself worthy of the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini championship over powerhouse Tyler Thompson by just eight points in the final tally.
3 – N. Dartmouth, Massachusetts's own Derek Gluchacki made the three-hour trip worth it, taking a clean sweep by winning the three Wall’s Ford Platinum Series events and the inaugural crown.
5 – St-Denis, Quebec’s Patrick Laperle earned his 5th American-Canadian Tour Fall Foliage 200 win at White Mountain in September.
6 – The Most Wins category was tied at 6 between Wayne’s Market Dwarf Car Champion Jason Wyman and J.P. Sicard Flying Tiger Triple Crown Champion Shane Sicard.
8 – The magic number for Most Podium finishes on the season was 8. Jesse Switser took home 8 podium finishes in weekly Foley Oil & Propane Late Model competition while both Shane Sicard and Tanner Woodard took home 8 podium trophies as well. Most dominantly, Jason Wyman took 8 podium finishes with a worse finish of 2nd in every Wayne’s Market Dwarf Car feature.
9 – Quinny Welch took home his 9th ‘King of the Mountain’ Late Model Track Championship in 2022, nine extra-point Semi-Feature starts certainly didn’t hurt his chances either!
10 – In 11 Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division feature events in 2022, St. Johnsbury’s Logan Farnsworth took home 10 podium trophies including one win on the season.
17 – When counting the American-Canadian Tour events, the Late Models had 17 different podium finishers. The Flying Tigers came in second with 13 different podium drivers in 2022.
17 – The time between Kirk Alexander’s last win in 2005 and his return to Modified Racing Series Victory Lane in 2022. Alexander is now a four-time MRS winner at White Mountain with his 2022 win also breaking a 12-year win-less drought in the Series itself.
30 – White Mountain Motorsports Park celebrated it’s 30th anniversary season in 2022.
32 – The number of drivers who joined the six-race Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Model in it’s inaugural year – We can’t wait to see what 2023 brings for these mighty four-cylinders!
46 – The Maine-based Pro All Stars Series completed their 46th event at White Mountain with the Fall Foliage 150 in September. White Mountain Motorsports Park ranks just below Oxford Plains Speedway as hosting the second-most amount of PASS North races.
50 – White Mountain Motorsports Park saw 50 different winners in Victory Lane between the weekly series and the various touring divisions that visited the New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track in 2022.
742 – Coming into their final event on Fall Foliage weekend, Rookie of the Year Kaiden Fisher and multi-time champion Shane Sicard were tied at 742 points for the Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tiger championship! It would be Tanner Woodard, back just one point after the heat race qualifiers who would steal away the crown in the final laps of the feature!
$10,650 – The total purse and contingency awards D.J. Shaw took as the first former WMMP Late Model Champion to win an American-Canadian Tour event at White Mountain in the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 on July 30th.
